我提供一個想法給比爾與梅林達．蓋茲：
一、「機器人」可以拆解，也可以再組合。例如最簡單的樂高組合的機器人，以及現在電影中的精密的機器戰警或未來世紀的高科技機器人等，都可以拆解，也可以再組合。
二、「中國字」可以拆解，也可以再組合。
三、「細胞」可以分裂（拆解、分離？），也可以再組合（增生、生育）。
四、化學「分子」可以拆解，也可以再組合。
五、中國古代的穿牆術：「人」是否可以拆解（分離成小分子？），也可以再組合？
六、電影中的時空機器人，讓「人」穿越時空而來，人是否可以拆解，也可以再組合？
如果是可以的那麼比爾與梅林達．蓋茲基金會是否可以讓人文哲學與生命、生物、人體、基因、機械、物理等科學家對話，創造未來地球人類生存的智慧。

我們都聽說過《聊齋誌異》中嶗山道士的穿牆術，只要念動某種口訣，便可以穿牆而過，而道術不高或者心存雜念的人，則有可以能會被夾在牆中，進不去也出不來。 小說中的故事不足為信，但我卻從此陷入另一個問題的思索——人到底能不能「穿牆而過」呢？幾年前，我曾聽到過某氣功大師要穿中國最厚的「牆」——長城，但似乎只聽到預言而沒有見到結果，不知是不是柯雲路之類無德作家的炒作。但我仍止不住要思考，人到底能不能穿牆而過呢？ 從物理學已經取得的成果中我們知道，物質是無限可分的。在這裡我不揣淺薄，試著分一分，看能分出個什麼結果來。 首先，物質是由分子構成的（當然，也有的物質是直接由原子構成，我們權且當其為一個原子的分子吧），而構成物質的分子之間是什麼呢？是空間。而分子又可以分為若干原子，這若干原子之間又是什麼呢？也是空間，也就是說，構成物質的分子、原子之間存在著「什麼也沒有」的空間。我們再分下去，原子是由原子核與電子構成，而電子與原子核之間又是什麼呢？也是空間。原子核再分下去是質子和中子，而質子與中子之間無疑也是由空間構成的。質子和中子還可以再分下去，分成什麼，我的物理知識就顯得蒼白了，似乎是叫作夸克什麼的吧，但有一點是肯定的，即不論質子、中子還是電子，都是可以繼續分下去的。那麼在這無限往下分的過程中，我們注意到了什麼？其實構成物質的絕大部分並非電子、質子、中子之類的「實體」，而是空間！這一點我們可以從物理學知識中得到佐證。即物質的分子與分子之間，是空間與「實體」共存的，並且在大多數情況下是空間大於實體的。我們知道，任何小於「1」的正實數無限次與自身相乘後，結果會為零（或者，無數個小於「1」的正實數相乘的結果也同樣為零），這就是極限。那麼，我們可以得出這條結論吧——所謂物質世界，當我們將其無限細分後，其實就只有空間而沒有「實體」了！也就是說，整個物質世界的唯一存在就是虛無！ 現在，讓我們回到我們開頭提出的問題，既然整個物質世界是虛無的，而虛無當然是可以穿透另一個虛無的，那麼，從理論上講，穿牆術就沒有什麼不可思議的了。可是，為什麼在現實中我們並不能穿牆而過呢？我認為，阻礙我們穿過的，不是物質的「實體」，而是力。雖然物質世界這堵「牆」從本質上說是虛無的，但力卻是實實在在地存在著的。為什麼分子與分子、原子與原子、原子核與電子、質子與中子乃至夸克等更小的微粒是「攏」在一起形成物質而不是各自為政分崩離析呢？是力，是各種微粒間的引力、斥力、離心力、向心力、電磁力等各種各樣的力將這些物質和准實體（雖然在根本上所有這些原子、分子、電子這類都是虛無的，但為了敘述方便起見，我們在某一層面上將其視為實體，姑且稱之為「准實體」）聚攏到一起，將下一級准實體聚攏為上一級准實體，以至形成我們所見的「物質」。同時，也正是這種准實體間的力的聚攏，形成我們所感受到的宏觀的力，正是這種力，阻礙了我們這些人的虛無穿透牆的虛無，使我們穿牆無術了。 以上敘述的是把宏觀世界微觀化，並再將微觀世界細化下去，得出物質本是虛無的結論，我們稱之為物質世界的大微觀。下面，我們再把思路反過來，思考一下物質世界的大宏觀。 在談大宏觀之前，我們先來看一個故事：傳說中國古代一位思想家——似乎是周莊吧——在大樹下看到一群螞蟻忙忙碌碌而不知何為，顯得非常渺小，於是他想，在自己忙忙碌碌的時候，是否有對於自己正如自己對於螞蟻一樣的更大、更高級的超級智慧生物正對自己的忙忙碌碌而不知何為呢？於是他感到了世界的無窮而頓生敬畏之心。 如前所述，物質是無限可分的，任何一個層面的「准實體」都可以細分成下一個層面的「准實體」；反過來講，就是說，大量的任何層面的「准實體」都可以反向追溯，合成上一個層面的「准實體」。以我們知道的範圍為例，地球是由無數分子、原子、離子構成的。如果把地球看作是參照「准實體」，稱為0級准實體，那麼，分子該是-1級准實體；如果將地球當作一個「大電子」來看待，那麼由太陽和地球等九大行星及其衛星構成的太陽系則可以看作是一個「大分子」，而由無數類似太陽系的「大分子」構成的銀河系則可以看成是一塊+1級准實體的「物質」了。也就是說，在我們看來深不可測，無邊無沿的銀河系，對於它所屬的那個層面的「准實體」來說，不過是一根絲、一瓢飲、九牛一毛、滄海一粟罷了，而我們所認為的更為廣闊的宇宙，則不過是更上一層面的「准實體」之一顆微塵。 如此看來，我們研究所謂宇宙的時候，不應只向寬、廣的方向延伸，而是要向更上層面和更下層面無限延伸，從而擺脫束縛我們思想的狹隘的（經典的？）宇宙觀。 如果說真的如莊子所想，有超人類的智慧生物在注視著我們的忙碌，其實螞蟻也好，人類也好，超人類智慧生物也好，還是在同一個層面上的，我們彼此間還是可以感受得到的，只不過是「量」的多寡不同罷了。而如果又有某一智慧生物看我們的太陽系如同我們觀察電子的結構的話，這種生物的智慧才是真的我們上一層面的智慧。並且我認為，我們與這些「智慧生物」幾乎是無法互見，更無法交流的。 我想，如果以上設想成立，則不僅穿牆術有望從神話走向現實，我們對世界的理解和應用也將走上更為廣闊的探索之路。
